Recent Empties / Favorites

Hello everyone, and Happy Saturday! Here are a few bits I've been letting collect dust in my bedroom for a few weeks until i finally had enough to blog about, some are favorites, and some were a bit disappointing! So here we go!

Wow Brown DIY Tan in "Medium - Dark"
I could literally talk about this tan all day! It is the best tan i have ever used by a long shot! It has an amazing colour guide for a simple and even application and when they say "No Streaks" they really mean it! I would usually put it on before i go to bed and then shower off the colour guide the next morning. It leaves you with the most gorgeous, naturally sun-kissed glow with not even a hint or orange or green which is ideal. The lasting time is fab, about a week depending on how often you moisturize. It fades away so gradually that you don't even notice, none of that looking like a shedding snake for weeks on end after! I couldn't say enough good things about this product. I'm currently trying out the spray formula which is amazing so far, full review on both coming soon!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in "Deep Glow"
Bit of a let down with this considering i'm usually a Sally Hanson fanatic! Deep Glow is just definitely not for me. I usually go with medium or sometimes even light which i love, but deep seems to have alot more of a greeny undertone to it, not to mention it is impossible to blend! I think if i remember correctly i bought this because it was on sale, and here in Ireland your usually talking about €15 full price! The product itself is great, it is 100% Water Proof, which means you don't have to look like you have some sort of skin disease if you unfortunately drenched on a night out (which happens here quite often!) I will definitely repurchase but not in this shade!

Soleil Tan De Chanel
I picked this baby up in the Airport last September on my way to Spain for about €50 (Duty Free). I had seen and heard so many good things about it so i thought i might as well give it a go, and boy am i happy i did! I have so much love for this product, i'm absolutely devastated its gone! I use this every single day to bronze my neck and chest. It is a dream to contour with this too as its a cream product. The only bad thing is can say about it is the tiny bits of shimmer/glitter in the product. I don't usually go for bronzers with shimmer but i let it slide with this one. The next Chanel counter i'm near i will 100% be picking up a new one!

"Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine"
Cheap and cheerful! Its does its job and i despise the thought of putting any sort of makeup on my face without a good base! It was definitely under €5 which in my opinion is a steal compared to some of the bigger brand primers. It feels amazing on the skin and somewhat mattifies aswell which is perfect for this time of year. Definite Repurchase!

Revlon Lipbutter in "Peach Parfait"
These were all the rave last summer, everyone and their dog had to have them, including me! I only own two shades from the collection i have been pretty impressed with both. Its simple for those day when your not wearing alot of makeup, or even just feeling to lazy to wear real lipstick. I remember this was fairly pricey for the amount of product that you actually get inside, but Revlon is expensive in Ireland anyway. I'm not too sure whether they still make the Lipbutters but if they do i'm sure i'll pick up another one along they way.

Catrice Camouflage Cream in "010 Ivory"
This little concealer is a winner in my books. I always get the lightest shade in all my concealer, and this one is perfect for under the eyes, although it does crease after a couple of hours so keep a make up sponge or brush at the ready. Its great for covering blemishes, or anyone other little marks on the face. It is a lovely creamed consistency so it blends wonderfully.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in shade "52"
LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation. Its very light but its perfect it for everyday wear, to work etc. Its an anti-oxidant so it wont progressively get darker throughout the day which is so hard to find, what you see is what you get. This is my 3rd empty bottle and cant wait to get another one. Its say "16hr Pefectly glowing complexion and toned skin"I personally never have foundation on for that long, but im sure its not far off with the lasting time I've got probably being 12 hours max. I need to pick up another few bottles ASAP!

Revlon Colorstay in "180 Sand Beige" and "200 Natural Beige"
So many people have told me that this is closest thing you will get to MAC with an affordable price tag, and i think i can second that notion! The most amazing, long lasting, flawless finish foundation i have EVER used to date. I have this in a couple of shade (depending on my skin colour of choice at the time!) I would be more prone to wearing this on nights out, or on a more formal day when i no i wont be able to/or want to touch up my foundation. I find it to be a much heavier formula so the lasting power is that bit longer, but not too heavy that you feel like your face is absolutely caked and your skin can't breath. I have gotten so many compliments while wearing this foundation and have recommended to many people to buy it who are now just as in love as me! I still have a couple of backups so i'm good for now but i hope it never gets discontinued!

Mark Hill Quick Fix Dry Shampoo
I picked this up in Boots a while back only because it was €4 in the reduced to clear section. I suppose it done its job but i feel like i only used it about 3 or 4 times and it was gone! I can't stand products where the canister is all air and no product. Lets just day I was not a happy bunny!

Unique One - All in One Hair Treatment
A lovely friend of mine passed this on to me when she left for Australia last month after i told her i was planning on buying some. I got my hair done about 6 weeks ago and the girl in the salon put this in my hair before the blow dried it. The smell is to die for and that's what had me sold! But who can turn away a hand-me-down? To buy in the salon it was around €13 which isn't too bad for the amount of product you get, and giving that i have bleached hair i have to take good care of it. I have to get my hands on another one, but until then i'll continue strapping the bottom of the bottle haha!

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer
I didn't notice this product actually preventing spots and blemishes but its oil free and that's exactly what i need. I apply this everyday before my primer after i cleaned my face. I don't really have a lot to say about it only it does it job!

Now, sorry guys i know what was a long one, but I've have a lot of stuff gathering this past month or so. I hope you enjoyed and if you have any favorites you think i'd enjoy please leave them down below! Thanks so much for reading!

Mac Haul / Review

MAC Prep + Prime / MSF Soft & Gentle

I was having a wander around Brown Thomas in Galway a few weeks ago when i spotted the MAC counter and made a run for it! (literally). I have been lusting over these two for months, trying to decide whether they were really worth the money or not and since my lovely boyfriend decided to treat me so i jumped at the chance! :)

MAC Prep & Prime in "Radiant Rose"
I have only been using this for a few weeks and i'm already in love! If you are looking for an amazing under eye highlighter i would highly recommend giving this a go! I do the ever-so-famous upside down triangle under my eye area, two strokes on my forehead, down my nose and a dot on my chin. I use either a BeautyBlender or a triangle foundation sponge to press it into my skin for the best effect. I use this as my last step in my make up routine, i find it brilliant for after i do my eye make up to clean up fall out, and to just generally brighten after my foundation. I have went through so many highlighters and i have never came across one as good as this. I really can notice a difference after i apply it. I set it with a white brightening powder for the best and most long lasting effect. I feel like my foundation routine isn't complete without it, my new holy grail i think! :) Most definitely a repurchase!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in "Soft & Gentle"
I was a bit hesitant to get this one as i didn't really know if it was all it was cracked up to be but i said i'd give it a go. I use this after i have already contoured and done my blush, i dust a light swipe above where i put my blush, down my nose and on my brow bone. If i have lipstick on or even a gloss i put a dab on my cupids bow, which gives your lips a bit of a fuller look. The only downfall i have with this product is tiny trickles of glitter go everywhere! i don't mind a bit of shimmer but glitter all over my face is a major no-no! I like the dewy effect it gives, especially with flash photography. When i went in to my this they had just released a new MSF but it had alot more pinky undertones, which in result would of just acted as a blush and not a highlighter. I would definitely try another shade but one with not as much glitter!

Top - MSF Soft & Gentle /  Bottom - Prep & Prime Radiant Rose

I havent blogged in so long and it already feels great to be back! If you have a highlighter recommendations please let me know, i'm always on the hunt! Thanks for reading :)
